Who we are

These terms apply to the waiting list, your profile and, once your city opens, the Ambosi app (together: the service).

What Ambosi does

Ambosi learns which people you find attractive from the photos you rate, and suggests one match per day based on that taste and on what you tell us about yourself. We launch city by city: until your city opens you are on its waiting list, and you can prepare your profile.

Emails and location

We only send you emails about your account and the service: sign-in codes, your place on the waiting list, your city opening and, later, your matches. No newsletters or advertising unless you separately agree. If you use “Detect my location”, your device’s location is used once to suggest the nearest city and is never stored; you can always type your city instead.

Who can join

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and can't be transferred.
• Your profile must be truthful: your real first name, gender, age and your own, recent photos.

Your photos

Only upload photos of yourself. Not allowed: photos showing other people as the main subject, minors, celebrities or anyone else you are not, nudity or sexual content, and photos you don't have the rights to.

How we treat each other

Be respectful. Harassment, hate speech, threats, scams, spam, commercial advertising, asking for money and sharing other people's personal data are not allowed. You can report a profile or a message to us at [email protected]; we look at every report.

Permission to show your profile

Your photos and profile remain yours. So that we can provide the service, you give Gracias a la Playa S.L. a non-exclusive, free, revocable licence to store your profile photos and show them, together with your profile, to other members for matching. The licence ends when you delete a photo or your account.

Automated processing of photos

Uploaded photos are checked automatically: whether a person and a face are visible, image quality and a screen for nudity. They are also used to match you with people whose taste fits. Details are in our Privacy Policy. We don't use face recognition to identify anyone.

Your photos help others find their match

Showing your photos to other members is part of how Ambosi works. Your approved profile photos may also be shown, without your name or any other profile details, as example photos when members in other cities teach Ambosi their taste (never to people in your own city), and they help improve our matching model. Photos that are still being checked or were flagged by our checks are never used. You can switch this off at any time, without giving reasons, with “Use my photos to improve matching for others” on your private status page; everything else works the same. Intro video

Adding a short intro video is optional. It must show only you and follow the same rules as photos. We check a few frames automatically and may hold or remove videos that break these terms. The video is only shown to mutual matches, never used for the example pool or AI training, and you can remove it at any time.

Moderation and suspension

We may hide photos or content that break these terms and, in case of serious or repeated breaches, suspend or close an account. Where possible we tell you why and you can respond. Photos that need a closer look are reviewed by a person.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and data at any time with “Delete my data” on your private status page, or by writing to [email protected]. Your photos and profile are then removed; see the Privacy Policy for details.

Free and premium

Joining the waiting list and the basic service (taste learning, one match a day, chat with mutual matches, up to 10 in-person dates, i.e. mutual matches) are free. Premium (unlimited in-person dates) costs a one-time €49 including VAT (US$49 for customers outside Europe): no subscription, no automatic renewal. “Lifetime” means for as long as the Ambosi service exists. The first 100 confirmed sign-ups in each city (founding members) get Premium free.

Liability

We do our best to keep Ambosi safe and available, but we can't guarantee a match or that every member behaves well. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health, and otherwise only as far as the law allows. Meeting people is your own decision; please take the usual precautions.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before the changes apply, unless a change is required by law sooner. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before then.

Applicable law

Spanish law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in the courts of your place of residence. The EU online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
